VA OSDBUs Strategic Outreach, Communications, and Education and Training team has developed curriculum based webinar courses that provide Veteran-owned and other small businesses with the necessary information, resources, and tools to build and grow their business; which includes Doing Business with VA. Because of the Supreme Court’s ruling on Kingdomware, it is important that Veteran-owned and other small businesses ensure that they are procurement ready and eligible to compete VA contracting opportunities. The following courses are a few of the many that will provide small businesses with the necessary guidance to becoming procurement ready to do business with VA. Introduction to VA OSDBU This course introduces Veteran and other small businesses to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VAs) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). It was designed for VOSBs and other small businesses who are new to doing business with the VA and are interested in the resources offered by the OSDBU. Building an Effective Capabilities Statement This course defines what a capability statement is, why it is used, what information is needed to create one, and how to complete the five sections of an effective Capability Statement. It was designed for VOSBs and any other small businesses who are new to doing business with the VA are interested in creating a Capability Statement to market their business. Validating VA Access to Your Website (BrightCloud) This course covers how to validate and reclassify your website using BrightCloud, an internet based threat intelligence service. Making sure that your small business website is viewable through VA’s network is a crucial part of doing business with the VA. This course was designed for VOSBs and any other small businesses who are new to doing business with the VA are interested in validating VA access to their corporate websites.
